Vice Chairperson (Deputy Commissioner) Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board (SSKSB) Babila Rakwal on Monday chaired a meeting to discuss the modalities for the live telecast of Aarti at the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine and review the progress on infrastructure being developed for the convenience of the Pilgrims.

The meeting was attended by different stakeholders involved and deliberated upon the key issues and technicalities prerequisite for creating the set up.

“This initiative of the Shrine Board to provide online access  to the public especially  in situations constrained by pandemics like Covid-19 and for the wider publicity of the Shrine is of great importance” said the Vice Chairperson.

Besides, issues related to repair and painting of sheds along the track from Darshani Deodi to Pony stand, construction of B/Wall near Darshani Deodi, repair/beautification of around Peepal tree, repair  of track from Darshani Deodi to Bhawanand, construction of stairs near pony stand, construction of Water tank  near toilet complex for the convenience of  pilgrims and repair of toilet complexes along the track of SSKSB were also   discussed in the meeting. The meeting was told that all these  works are at  different stages of execution.

 The DC Reasi directed the concerned authorities to expedite the pace of execution and complete   the works at the earliest for the convenience of the pilgrims.

Babila Rakwal also directed the Jal Shakti department to provide water connections at Taxi Stand and Mahadev Bhawan Ransoo.

The issues like installation of poles and electricity connections near Taxi stand Ransoo, provisioning of uninterrupted power supply to Shiv khori Bhavan, Installation of SSKB track through 100KVA generator set installed at Bhawan were taken up with JKPDCL department.

The issues of handing over of incomplete terminal building of tourism department at Bus stand to SSKSB, renovation of existing toilet complex at Bus stand, fencing of Bus stand, completion of cafeteria near Ram Mandir en-route to Cave, handing over of hut at helipad, completion and handing over of Bathing Ghat near prepaid counter No.1 were taken up with Tourism department.

The DC Reasi directed all concerned for the early resolution of all the issues discussed in the meeting.
